This is good news. How many pension plans, 401k, IRAs, etc, etc have MSFT in their portfolios...blue chippers like MSFT turning a profit makes me happy :)
@JakeMertz: For fuck's sake... Apple has lost a revenue stream worth millions of dollars over an overblown issue. That about sum it up?
I love me some Apples, and even thought this antenna issue is overblown, there is a flaw, and it's right that they refund bumper purchases. I gotta think these $30 bumpers were like $29.50 pure profit for them - so this definitely stings their wallet a bit...as well as neutralizes a ridiculously overpriced item.
@RyaninCalgary: Nah, in no way was I trolling. Micosoft's new tag is like Kia announcing their new tagline: The Lap of Luxury.
For good or bad, depending on your viewpoint, that tag belongs to Apple.
@jiggpig: Starred commenters should not promote a bad comment just to tell them off...it's kind of a rookie move, if you ask me. I just saw a starred commenter lose his star for that. Comments like that should go to trollpatrol or warn.
There are some really good commenters here, and I'd like to see a few more of them be given a little authority if they want it. Maybe not outright ban authority, but at the least disemvowelment. Trollpatrol is nice, but you tend to see only the most egregious comments...and not the snarky comments that everybody…
@Glaiel-Gamer: True dat.
@brandonjlutz: There's another resolution in the Senate to do just that.
I wonder what percentage of MS employees with iPhones won't want to give them up?
Another item that should be mentioned is Sen. Feinstein's support of a resolution to authorize prisons to petition the FCC to run wireless signal jammers
@mecha2142: They might think about marketing it as a mirco-tablet...you know..super duper duper portable. The first tablet that can fit in the pocket.
@sweetgreggo: Ah, my bad...was looking at when they actually announced it. Thanks.
@Canon7D-Fanboy: It's all good, I'm not knocking you, I'm only saying that unless HP customizes the OS, it makes no sense to put a regular build of Win7 onto a tablet.
@Canon7D-Fanboy: iOS with the App Store are 2 big parts of what makes the iPad an unqualified hit. Windows 7 ain't gonna cut it.
@popcorn that pops: Are you breaking exclusive news here? Cause the topic of these comments is Win7... bud.
Haven't we been over this before? Tablet + Win7 = Meh.
Post-apocalyptic Thomas Kinkade.
@Setonas: I really think a professor could teach some kind of sociology class just on Apple comments (good and bad) here at Giz.
