@venc: lol, so that's how the other side lives ;)

@Weihovah: Sure, only if you're using traditional goats.

I've read something like 8 or 10 books on my iPad, and I haven't noticed a significant difference in the speed I read. It's actually a little strange because it's hard to really gauge progress compared to a real book. Yeah yeah, there is a percent indicator, but it's not the same.

@venc: No kidding...it looks an apartment I had in college back in the day. Except of course for the wood paneled ceiling. Or the views, or the size, or pool...shit! It looks nothing like my college apartment.

Seems like all those grass clippings would dirty up the pool. Me? I'd just put a goat on that little island.

@I Think We're Property: The snowglobe rule is dumb, let's just call it what it is. However, the policy about liquids being what it is, it's best that TSA make no exceptions.

Just put it in your checked baggage - problem solved.

This is exactly what I said Sony (and others) should have done months ago. Sony's problem with this price drop is they didn't go far enough - It should be $99 or less. Mark my words, Sony will be out of the e-reader business with in the next 1.5 years or so.

Why not start applying a thin coat of rubbery paint or clear-coat, or whatever around the antenna? Apple could even set this process up at Apple stores to fix the phones already in use. Gawd, I hate bumpers and other cases for my phones.

@Dickeydoo: Yeah, there's probably many examples of these stories. Now that I think about it, perhaps 'overstated' is a better way of describing the clean living movement. I can't imagine a French woman born in 1875 ever being acutely aware of low-carb no-fat or any other of the popular healthy slogans today. Shit,

I read a story about a man in Brooklyn who lived past 100. His daily diet included bacon fried in pork lard. This clean living movement is a bit overrated.

@dc-united: Exactly. For whatever reason I had to have the iPad within the first week, but strangely enough with the phones I have never had a problem waiting...

@sirmeili: That's a really good reply, and I understand about the duration and what-not. My point, and my personal opinion is that illegally recording inside a movie theater is one of those issue where there should be zero tolerance, because that's really the only way you'll stop it.

@java.android: It's all good, I got nothing against Texas.

@BlunderBus: So where did I say it's the end-all evil crime? She was pirating. Case closed. Did I once ever rationalize the relative severity of her crime? No.

@java.android: I was at Tennessee from fall 95 - fall 99...still the best years of my life.

I don't feel a lot of sympathy for her. She was caught pirating, end of story. No pirating, no arrest. It's really quite simple.

@java.android: I see. Shit, that's my second blown comment of the night. My head is a little foggy right now. Apologies.
