You are so arrogant! What you are looking for is a perfect robot that works hard and does every little task and command of yours. Its terrible. You are a far cry from a good leader. You are most likely NOT a people person. There are people who are NOT like you, they are different. You have to notice their

That's hilariously backwards. God help the poor souls that interview with you. I understand where you're coming from, having to hear it myself every fucking day of the week through several interviews, but really? Telling them to leave over a simple phrase is inane. You obviously work in sales of some sort, right?

You don't sound like much of a people person.

An hour later, and not one asshole comment about how everything you've said is "pessimistic" or how you're "just not willing to do what needs to be done to get a job"? This is a new record.

From an interviewee who has yet to make it off the bottom rung of the ladder:

I've been offered every position I've interviewed for in the past 12 years (over 10, about half of which I turned down), and here is why I won't work for you:

Don't worry, I won't work for pompous pricks who want to have their cake and eat it too.

Walking into an interview expecting to not hire me won't come across well.

I wish Charlie had been more honest, because then the article could have been a lot shorter: "Why I Won't Hire You: You weren't recommended by someone I know." In one estimate, cold applications to posted jobs resulted in employment only 2% of the time. In the overwhelming majority of cases it's about someone who

Couldn't agree more. The man is a waste of carbon and lazy as all hell.

Agreed, this person sounds like a classic narcissist. Unfortunately a lot of hiring folks are like this. They are jaded from all the garbage applicants they get (woefully under-qualified, wasting time), that they can't even bother with someone whose resume isn't an exact, laser-focused facsimile of the position

Honestly you don't want to work with people like this, if he thinks screwing with people makes his job more interesting, that's fine. He'll miss the people who have no patience for his ilk.

I gotta say, it's disheartening to read essays like this. It has a certain air of entitlement that makes me question the persons sanity. Really, you expect a resume tailored to your job posting and company, and an interview full of enthusiasm about past jobs, current jobs, and future jobs, with clear, exact job

Wow, I sincerely hope most hiring managers aren't this sanctimonious.

Wow, this dude failed almost every one of his own points in writing this post. His grammar is horrendous: bad communicator. His writing is rambling and not to the point. I stopped reading the details about 20% in. It's a stupidly long blog post. Nothing in here is succinct and to the point. It's all conjecture. His

What I gathered from this is that I am, for lack of a better term, fucked.

working to want to feed my kids isnt enough for u?, this guy is why America sucks
