Late ‘70's - ‘80's: Never encountered a wave anywhere, from the East Coast to the Rockies, in a CJ. Always encountered the wave in Deutchland in said CJ. Figured they were just fellow Americans waving hi, (and possibly cause we were in not-made-for-the-Autobahn vehicles).
