The concept looked great and then the accountants made them fit it on a minivan platform that messed up the proportions.

Tis all opinion but as a fan I much prefer the standard Beetle over the 1303, which looked all out of proportion. The model 4 door looks to have overcome that and its a much more cohesive design.
