Yes they are but the only plant producing the X models, any model, is the one in the US.

I know, the smaller X models sell well outside the US. But also all X models sold worldwide are made in SC.

Last time I was at the BMW plant in SC I was told that the only non-US manufactured component was the engine. Everything else comes from within 200 miles of the factory.

Glasscock 😂

No it won’t

The presidential election result doesn’t agree with you

Same same but different. In addition to causing smoggy skies and chronic coughs, soot – or black carbon – turns out to be the number two contributor to global warming. It’s second only to carbon dioxide, according to a four-year assessment by an international panel

Week before Christmas is always slow at work

So much anger, maybe better spent on protecting free speech, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, etc, etc

It’s a bizarre as putting a V8 into anything that doesn’t have a V8 in it to begin with. Sticking a V8 into a car to make it go faster is the lazy way to performance improvements.

Don’t care

The majority of US citizens don’t believe in climate change but many sure have kicked up a shit storm over this. So I guess we can expect Trump to quash this circus if VW starts/increases production of cars in the US?

I hope he gets nothing

I truly hope he gets nothing

More than likely the ‘profit’ is mostly kept for insurance claims. However taxes pay for shit we all use so I’m fine with the rest being put into the public purse.

I just did a quick test quote and, for 40 yr old, in Surrey, 15 yes no claims, 20 yrs driving, parked on a driveway, costs range from £350 to £1200+ for a 2012 Golf GTI. The cheap insurance had a crippling deductable and was from a no name company.

I’ve never paid more than $1450 in BC, Alberta was a little cheaper but not by much. One caveat in Alberta is that your insurance doesn’t cover your getting windshield unless you buy separate cover, which was as expensive as the insurance for the rest of the car!

Yeh but at least the government have launched an inquiry into the rates.
