Any news on the Dodge Dart Hellcat version?
Any news on the Dodge Dart Hellcat version?
$40k and no 6 cylinder engine. Why wouldnt I get a base CTS instead? It has a bigger more powerful engine and is more car for the money.
could be any number of reasons to renew the head, though. maybe they wanted the complete head back for analysis, maybe it's cheaper to warranty a complete head than to pay a tech/mechanic to rebuild it, who knows.
I looked at the bore scope shots of the second video, but I'm not going to waste the time watching someone talk for 16 minutes. I'm pretty sure any direct injection engine (gas or diesel) is going to have some build up of deposits. All I said was that it doesn't seem like the deposit problem is as severe or…
Reason why I ask, recently came across 2 videos from a ford mechanic talking about this problem. Not sure if this is wide spread or an isolated incident.
I dont do a lot of heavy hauling, but every so often it is very convenient to have a small truck. I wouldnt be opposed to a super cheap basic work truck that wont go off road but only carries the occasional "large" load. Could def. see myself owning something like that.
The GS' 2.0T/6MT is nothing to sneeze at.
BUT.... BUT... We need a Ranger that weighs in at half of this and has a three cylinder engine, manual transmission, and crank windows and costs $13,000 brand new. There's no need for a truck that can actually fit things in the bed or tow something larger than a small aluminum boat, fit more than 2 people inside, and…
Not to mention that the AWD versions are well into the 40K, deep into 328xdrive, 4matic, A4 and ATS4 territory.
In Canada, the Regal starts at a mind blowing 35,950$.
I was just saying this to a friend the other day. Put in a killer turbo'ed V6 and market it as a GNX. I MIGHT ACTUALLY BE INTERESTED IN A BUICK, what is this world coming to?!?
The Regal is basically a Vauxhall/Opel insignia that's had a cheap nose job. When the Insignia was launched it was considered not far away from the now old model VW Passatt and now soon to be replaced by the Fusion, Mondeo. It's no way in the same class as the 3 Series or C Class?
My thoughts exactly. I could never drop close to $40k for a four-cylinder, especially when AWD isn't available with the manual transmission. (I think that's all true, but I'm on a computer right now and have no way of researching facts.)
Give us a regal with a v6 engine! How about the European turbocharged v6? The regal GS is so close to being a great car, just needs some more power.
These things were damn fast by the standards of the day. In fact, it's still faster than the all new VW GTI, the Ford Focus ST, etc. It ran 0 - 100 MPH in 13.8 seconds, trapped through the quarter @ 102 MPH, and the party didn't end until 153 MPH...

Yeah but the end of the day you're in a Neon.
The Dart platform is unibody. There are precisely zero cars in production that are body on frame. The Panther cars were the last of the breed.
"If the cage is installed right" and "Should be" are exactly my point. How much do you trust random dude on Craigslist? I tend to find him rather unreliable, hence my crack pipe declaration. If this thing was maybe a couple grand, and you just wanted to use it as an off-highway toy? Sure. But $6500? Noooooo way!
I thought, the Cherokee still had a frame underneath, but you are right.
