While this is true now, who knows what can happen in the future? RIM is in the same spot Apple is familiar with: big loss of popularity despite a pretty strong core following.

I stand corrected. I don't know why I've been under the impression that the Charge was a dual core phone, when it wasn't. I always thought it was the LTE flavor of the Atrix.

"How sad—to have awareness and consciousness of such a thing as racism, but then be destructive by turning around and writing off an entire sub-continent composed of a billion people, and also view Indians en masse as if only they own racism."

The evidence is simple: on iPhone, some of these apps barely run on older hardware like the 3GS. On Android, it does not seem like a phone like the Nexus S or the Thunderbolt has any more trouble running higher-end apps than the Droid Charge (unless reviewers are lying to me), so I see even less reason for a phone

"How does denying "lower status people" the ability to speak out about their mistreatment and be taken seriously help them to have better personalities? Oh that's right...because it keeps them from ever challenging the status quo and forces them into a state of submissive compliance."

"Neither topsy OR I are making assumptions about this woman based solely on the fact that she's Indian (although I do think it comes into play) or simply because she's brown. We're making the assumption that someone who is this obviously eager to lord her intellectual superiority over someone would not hesitate to

We are not saying that racism doesn't exist anymore. We're saying racism from one group does not excuse racism from another. The problem here is not the idea that someone this dumb and mean couldn't be racist. It's the idea that she's racist because she's Brown. It's the exact same thing as following a black person

Oh well, I suppose I gave you too much credit. Stay angry, it will serve you well.

That was a theoretical situation, and of course it's not like you guys committed a crime. Racism does not always lead to bad things, but it can. It doesn't mean we should just accept it, even "sometimes."

Glad to see some progress in the dialogue. You went from "she was probably being racist because that's what Brown people do" to "she was probably racist because she's a bad person." Nobody will defend her saying "well not all bad people are racist," because frankly we don't care. But now this isn't offensive to Brown

I will remember your screen name, and I will bring this up if I ever see you offended by sexism or racism, as I know articles will come up where the tables are turned (i.e. your son can't disprove he's not a criminal in spite of his race).

So what you're saying is racism is okay when the racist person can justify it?

You see, that's what cops use to racially profile black people. That's what Hitler used to persecute Jews. Statistics don't make up everyone, and that's what sucks so much about racism.

Even if you think you've seen enough people of a certain race act a certain way, you're never an authority on race subjects. The moment you start making assumptions based on race (even with tons of anecdotal evidence) you become racist. It's that simple.

I may have shown lack or reading comprehension with your comment, but I seriously doubt that I've been misogynistic or subtly racist.

You're right, I jumped the gun after reading the first half.

I'm actually a guy haha.

I have nothing to apologize for. You're the one who's been making awful comments this entire time, I'm surprised you can even post still.

Exactly.

I'm used to hearing it, just like "nigger" or "faggot." It doesn't make people who use them any less ignorant. I'm neither sad nor silly for knowing this, thankfully.
