@OmegaSpartan08: what are you talking about? the original ps3 will work fine (in fact it can be argued to have even better guts) for anything that comes out.. it is not anything at all like PC gaming - the people who make games have to make them to work on all ps3's - not so for PCs.

@drivenbyart: ? my ps3 is hooked up to a 1TB usb drive - works great. also you can put in any laptop-sized hard drive in a ps3 and it will work.

@FrankieViturello: I was upset about not having backwards capability, then on reflection realized I hadn't played any of my PS2 games for at least 3 years.

@FrankieViturello: also the very simple backup utility. takes a bit of time, but zero effort.

@AyeEye: The problem seems to be that it could mess with your hand-eye co-ordination and interrupts saccades. Course these things have been around for ages.

In the last case, the paraplegic wasn't downgrading his vision, he was correcting is presbyopia, something which occurs later in life. His world would now mostly be near requirements, like reading/computer/tv (which would require more adequate near vision), and the surgery is improving his quality of life. So now he
