Yeah the number of people willing to special order a car is pretty small. Not everyone wants to wait a year or more, with all the chip/supply issues we have had. The one company IMO that’s best about offering different on the lot colors seems to be Dodge.

These wheels have a very narrow niche where they work... I think this might be one of those rare occasions (‘90s car, and most importantly, a genuine rally-bred machine).

I think most BMWs look fine. The Z4, 2/3/5/8, X1/2/3/5 are all mostly fine. The 4, 7, X7, iX, XM, and SAV coupes are the oddities. So it’s probly 60/40 good to bad.

If nuclear weapons are being used, the last thing I will worry about is flight delays.  Unless I happened to have a flight booked for New Zealand.

Everybody gets the S54 wrong... it’s not about the exhaust note, it’s about the intake noise! Put a CSL-style carbon airbox on it and you’ll forget that the exhaust was ever a problem. Induction noise > exhaust noise.

“...it was basically a grift.”

that can be said about every single thing he has ever said, done, or said he would do.

It actually came with a paper shredder. Now we know why.

The 1988 Trump edition Cadillac Brougham limo. Released at a time that nobody was buying limos, it was basically a grift. Trump didn’t order the large batch he was supposed to and instead just bought enough for personal use.

They had a recall, the part responsible was replaced if you brought it in, so hopefully there are records. My 2002 was my Dad’s and he had it done, it’s well over 100,000 miles now with daily commuting and road trips, no issues. I even make use of the “sportshift” pretty often on the local mountain roads.

I think it applied to all V6/AT combos of this vintage.  Accord V6 had issues too.

That’s right around the mileage that the automatics transmissions pack it in on those and Honda/Acura’s goodwill repairs have long since dried up (especially for non-original owner cars).

The rest of the list isn’t much better:
Monte SS: even worse transmission longevity than the Acura
3.6L Camaro: stretched timing chain

Where I am the primary purpose of these (other than the cab-chassis rigs) seems to be to haul around one redneck and two Trump flags.

One reason i got the Ridgeline was because it had the biggest bed for a truck that would still easily fit in my garage (don’t like parking outside when it’s -20°F).

Rolling coal. Yes we get it, you hate the environment, Prius’, and bicyclists. There’s probably a bumper sticker for that.

At half he might get some interest. But it’s still the least desirable M3 (an opinion, sure, but I think market pricing supports that) with a “full maintenance history” that doesn’t include maintenance that it needs right now.

same engine but a V6"

Even prepandemic, I would tell them no, but they can come in and buy my team lunch and do a lunch and learn. Dinner hours bad, free lunch good.

And the Scat Pack 300 sold out in 12 hours...holy shit.

392 cubic inch Hemi V8 is still magnificent.

yet, that might be excusable on a 83 ford escort base model. This is a hugely expensive car. wrap the stupid thing with some cow hide or fake suede depending on customer taste.
