944?

I wish I could get a Tacoma with a v8 (even the Tundra’s 4.6 would be fine). Not that the 3.5 has actually really left me wanting for more, but I just like the idea of having the the sound and torque of a v8 in a midsize truck.

I’ve had two wrxs, a 2002 and a 2012. An aftermarket exhaust, which made the engine more notable, seemed to help with the feel.

I have always loved the looks of the SC or 3.2 Carrera 911s, and would certainly love to own one. However, like all 911s, their prices have certainly gone up compared to what they used to cost, and the rising tide of 911 prices also means parts for the cars are also more. I wish I had the funds to buy a G50 911 (and

The 996 interior is fine in the right color combo. Porsches have historically had rather austere interior designs that are still functional, and the late 90s and early 2000s have not been best for most car interiors, anyways.

Have you seen the upcoming Camaro refresh?

My dad had a truck just slightly older than that (round lights) like that he bought new. He put a camper shell and bigger tires on it, and would take it on weekends to camp/off road in it. There is a certain simplicity and ruggedness to an old Toyota 4x4 truck that is hard to not like.

I asked for a quote from my insurance just to see if I could make a case for the car; it was a large enough increase from my Tacoma TRDOR 4x4 that I knew that I would not be able to convince my wife on the car :(. Indigo blue with the red 6 piston brembos and the dynamics package sure looks nice though.

Agreed; I actually liked the Bangle-era BMWs when they came out, and still think the designs have aged well. Unfortunately, most are cars are old enough where I am seeing more clapped-out versions than ones that are still being maintained and cared for.

I personally like c5 ‘Vettes but I agree with you; you can find a better one for less. Most mods diminish the value of a Corvette anyways.

I used to work around car shop specializing in American cars (specifically hot rods, muscle cars, Corvettes, etc) and unique aesthetic mods to Corvettes were more often than not a sign that the car was previously in an accident. That Carfax confirmed my suspicion.

I test drove a scat pack for fun, and ended up liking the car a lot more than I expected - enough that I keep thinking I want to buy one. It is a very powerful ‘family’ car for the money.

I agree that the the platform was not that good, and personally think that the Envoy was the worst iteration of this generation, too.

It reminds me of the tuner car crackdowns about 10 years ago and in the 90s, too. Guilty by association sucks when you are just an enthusiast that is just driving around.

I did not care for the Z4 design when the first or second gen came out, but have grown to like both designs.

Are preproduction cars driven by an actual employee of the marque, or do they use a contractor?

In the recent discussions of one of the Tesla-related crashes here, commentators remarked that Jalopnik posts about a crash only if it has a Tesla in it. Here, we have an article about how a BMW prototype crashed, and your comment was about Tesla. Whether or not you meant to move the goalpost is irrelevant, its just

They also think the same thing about a vasectomy, but that’s why they end up needing the minivan.

If its any consolation, I was also a GM-fanboy when I was younger and thought the STS was a cool car. I know better now, but we have weird opinions when we are young. That said, I still don’t mind the exterior appearance of the STS.

The computer-inspired design was a terrible idea, but I can absolutely imagine a committee sitting together talking about the concept and thinking that they just struck gold.
