You are too late. Half of zero is zero.

Please post the part of the EULA that defines "Work".

It is amazing how wrong everyone here is:

We may both be correct. If you want to disseminate your work for free, you are welcome to do so in any format. If you want to be paid, then I am correct. You can only do that through iBooks.

Wrong. If you set your own price (below $14.99) you must sign an exclusivity agreement for your content with Apple.

The iBook file is proprietary, so it wont be useful anywhere else. Apple means your content. You have to sign an exclusivity agreement with them in order to publish.

I dont think you got that right. It is not the format it is the content you are not permitted to sell anywhere else.

Lets see...

I think you all are missing the issue.

"In Gawker Media, Soviet Russia gets you punished."

That is just a bad example. Most popular games are available for all 3 major platforms.

In Soviet Russia, Space Capsule films you!

My examples were from my experience. Im glad to see yours are different. I truly hope this is the way things will go. I dont think Apple has the environment in their corporate culture (closed) to make it work for the students before it works for them, but none the less...I wish I were still in school so I could use

If the author wants to set the price (and it still has to be under $14.99) they have to sign and exclusive agreement with Apple. It hasnt been mentioned on Giz, so Here is the link.

You are making several assumptions:

Im not sure if your child goes to public school, but 5 years is the absolute minimum.

Im glad to see that I wasnt the only person to come up with the word "slick". Very slick.

How do you mean volume?

You need to read closer. I clearly said, "Censor Apps".

Why isnt it being mentioned that Apple will allow an author to set its own price UNDER $15 if they sign an EXCLUSIVE agreement with Apple, of which Apple will take 30%.
