I think this opinion is naive. Once a Windows Phone Platform can play with a Windows PC platform, their marketshare is going to go up substantially. When you own almost 90% of the current laptop/desktop marketshare, and you integrate your phone's OS into that seamlessly, there is going to be a following for it.
