in 1.20 you can reliably get into a server in a good state by entering a race first from the online front end and then quitting to game after doing a race. i’ve had nearly 100% success joining that way. yeah, a lot of stuff is broken (you’re not wrong about posses), but compared to 1.21 the game is playable at least.
