I would say so Shepard is, especially in Mass Effect 1. Then in the sequels move away from that. Shepard isn’t just any military, he is the first human Spectre. So he/she is at the time the highest ranked human within the Citadel, and it is mention several times that Shepard represent all of humanity within that

I hope I am wrong. :)

I really like Witcher 3 story. It do a lot of the same tropes. But in that story I view Ciri has the chosen hero, not the main character Garelt. Garelt is more as a guideline or father figure for Ciri. Which will impact how Ciri deals with her burden. It tells this typical “fantasy epic save the world story”. But it

I totally hope I am wrong.

You complete missunderstand my comment. I merly point out that it the story seem to have a common trope, thats in a lot of Bioware games. “The choosen one”, in short, that the main character has been selected by some force to be the only who can resolve the plot, and everyone looks up to the hero. Thats at least how I

Oh man, James bond in World War 1! Now thats a movie I would watch! :)

Nah, mention it to cause you agreed. It was just an overall comment in the responses I got so far. ;)

I find it intresting how many responses I get that I shouldn’t expect anything else. Because thats “what bioware does”. I disagree, Bioware is an awesome studio, hence I have high expectations on their games. :)

One piece of info I’m intriged by is that they apperently been sleeping for “hundreds of years”. (Which is seems likly, cause the nearest galaxy is still pretty damn far away.) It doesn’t seem like they took a trip for the sake of exploring, which makes me wonder, is our galaxy dead? Or about to die? Are more ships

It’s kinda stuff like this I missed in Metal Gear Solid 5.

Imagen the peoples reaction if it ended like that, and compare it to the people who complained about Mass Effect 3's ending. ;)

Yeah, I just got cautious when I heard “you’re the pathfinder” and “what makes you special?”, but I can freely admit it might just be me missinterpeting it. We’ll see. Still hyped!

There is a certain truth to that. A shame, despite all DA2 flaws had, I REALLY liked the characters it had.

Haha, now you make me wanna play that. Perhaps plays as the guy/gal who does all the paperwork on the Normandy? And your quest is to find a “friend” on a interspeices dating site. :)

Thats actually a really good point.

I hope I am wrong. :)

But you make that story in so many different ways. It doesn’t always has to be that the main character is the “chosen jesus that is told save us all”.

Even if the trailer looks really nice overall. My first thought seeing it was “Really? Another chosen hero story?”

You do realize I bring it up cause it’s the closes comparison, and not because Sombra is gonna be EXACTLY like TF2 spies? She wont. They share certain traits. (Like TF2 and Overwatch in general.) Therefor similar tactics against them is an likley solution.
