naw dude, quest for glory 2 was the best... well I guess I had the advantage of my dad drawing out a map of that damn city. once you do that it’s great.

i remember when i was much much younger there was a game that you could be a thief or magician and you spent all your time either wandering around a vaguely middle eastern town or fighting dinosaurs in the desert. I never remembered the name of that game, but came across it many years later- Quest for Glory 2 AKA

dude, peasants quest was better than most of the king’s quest games.

later zork games, infocom would fuck you in the ass so hard. I remember Return to Zork where you could pick up so many bullshit objects and then could either consume, throw away, or mis-use something that would be needed much later in the game.

I would challenge you to do it old school, especially since all the classic adventures are basically a once through- true you can replay and you may forget a solution or two but it will never be completely fresh.
