While I sympathize with drivers getting falsely dinged for their driving, the Amazon drivers in my are are f’in asshole drivers. Stopping whenever and wherever they want, even if that means blocking all traffic on a one lane road, speeding, cutting people off... I can see the need for this system.

Not a myth as far as I’m concerned. I got rid of my MT car because my commute was such a pain, and I had been driving stick for two decades at that point. An hour and a half of shifting every 10 seconds between N, 1st, and occasionally 2nd f’in sucks, especially in something with a stiff clutch.

Had an 85 tercel with I believe the same engine. The engine itself was fine, and quite reliable, but I had it with a stick. The Toyota auto trans of that era were mushy unresponsive garbage.
