since the wrangler went up market in price. they are way expensive. the wrangler in say 1995 was the entry level vehicle not the halo one.

Tiny electric Jeep, you say?
If it’s really a Jimney competitor, (solid axles) I’d be excited. But it will likely be another FWD-based crossover....
I feel like off-roaders are the one car segment where an electric powertrain doesn’t make sense. There aren’t exactly recharging stations out on the trails, and solar panels will only get you a couple miles extra range per day whereas the fuel in a jerry-can will take you a hundred miles.
370Z 50th Anniversary Edition.
Ha. Passed this on I-96 on my way home.
My guess is either they’ll be pressed into company car service, marketing fleets, or doled out to journos.
Those golf course parking lots gonna be full soon
Giant black wheels will be added, along with a pointless exhaust that actually reduces power but makes a lot of noise, then they will be meticulously garaged and driven 1-2 times per week to a low-impact cross training class at the YMCA.
I really want one of these...I wouldn’t give two shits if it was a kit, nor if it was slow-as-Hell; just looks like it would be a hoot to DD!
Make a lifted rally idx then
Nissan braintrust: “We have listened to enthusiasts, and will bring back exciting, high quality products!”
As much as I want this, it wouldn’t be the profit cow they need. Crossovers, Trucks, SUVs, then fun cars if they want to remain solvent.
Focus should be put on the Pathfinder first. It’s super old and ugly, but that’s the most profitable category. There’s value attached to that name, and it can double as a good base for a true luxury offering for Infiniti if done right.
I had a Infiniti QX50 rental over the Thanksgiving holiday. I got to say I was disappointed in the car. There is no way they will be a legit upmarket competitor if that is the best they can do.
Low profile, big wheels are the BIGGEST problem I have with resto-mods. Sometimes I am fully on board with the execution, but then 99.9% of the resto-mods I see just have AWFUL wheel/tire set-ups. Sidewalls that thin don’t work with the proportions of these cars.
It’s funny that they’ve stuck to the same aesthetic more or less through the whole series. It seemed incredibly futuristic IN the 70s, but now seems almost retro. Just the idea that the Mandalorian can have his spaceship stripped for parts, get them back, field reinstall them all, and then take off is completely…
Because after using essentially the same tech for several millenia, the designers and engineers long ago learned touchscreens suck.
Yes but isn’t it technically history?
Afree seeing the Jawas in the Mandalorian, I'm now convinced that they are just Minions in brown robes.
If we properly educated American drivers about lane etiquette and, well, driving, there’s no reason our interstate highways couldn’t be a fast as the German Autobahn. They’re designed for aircraft landings and troop transport, after all.
