The Broken Windows theory applies to cars too. Once you let little things go, things go downhill at an very quick pace. If you stay on top of repairs and maintenance, you end up with a car with 200k miles that looks brand new. If you neglect small stuff and let it snowball, soon you are selling your car for scrap with

This is only half true. Prior to ‘66 the MKI GT40's were built by Lola with small block engines and failed miserably. Lola was chosen because this was European Sports Car racing and everyone assumed you should hire Europeans to make your car, not an American. The Duece was pissed he kept losing so he brought on Shelby

For those complaining about inaccuracies; films like this and Rush are not documentaries. They will make changes to the real-life story for a variety of reasons; film length, pacing, composite characters, etc. I’ve never understood why some people trash these films if there is even a minor inaccuracy compared to real

True. As good as modern rendering is these days (if GT Sport or Assetto Corsa are any indication) something really is different about practical FX.

I did it with a GT86 for a couple years, You CAN do it, but yeah other cars are much easier.

No, it is not. They are an absolute bitch to work on, the timing belt has to be replaced every 30,000 miles, and it would be ridiculously hard to get a child seat in it. Please try again.

meh, I had a Integra when the kid was first born, wasn’t too bad. Wasn’t great either but...

  • incredibly reliable.

Well, there is one sports coupe, though not a sports car, that has ample back seat room.

“incredibly reliable”?

Hey friend, I appreciated the pun.

911's aren’t sports cars?

The answer has to be a GTI.

I don’t understand why this car has to baby when they have 2 cars that baby already.

Seriously.. the whole Subaru head-gasket thing is so overblown.

I would think that if the wife and baby were with him they could be in her car or the Jetta. If it’s just him and the baby the passenger seat could be far enough forward to accommodate a rear-facing seat.

He’s pretty much looking for what he already has, but sportier. So, trade in the Jetta for a GTI and live your best life daily.

I drive vehicles all the time with far poorer rear visibility than the new 3. It’s really not a big deal, especially now that rear cameras are mandatory.

That Barracuda back window is worth serious bucks. I would offer the yard a lowball figure just to bring it to Mopars at Carlisle and flip it.

So, the gasoline engine drives one wheel and the electric motors drive the other 3? Is that how it works?
