Suicide doors are the best doors to use from an ergonomic standpoint. Manufacturers stopped doing it because of the risk of them ripping off if they were accidentally opened. With auto locking doors, I think we can bring them back safely again.
Doors swing out, doors scissor open, doors lift like the wings of a bird... and doors slide open. Nothing new or revolutionary about this. Just a fancy mini van door. Call me when doors start doing stuff like the below and then we can talk revolutionary car doors.
It’s not my fault they decided to ridiculously over-engineer a simple sliding door.
If Koenigsegg doors are just fancy scissor doors, then Rezvani doors are just fancy minivan doors.
My neighbors Dodge Caravan had doors like that 20 years ago. Sure, they slid backwards instead of forward, but a sliding door is a sliding door.

Top Gear US’s problem was no chemistry with the host, bad script, and hosts that looked as if they where just reading from a cue card. The actual format and challenges weren’t that bad.
I would put the lap time into the 10% I am ok with. There were a couple of interviews over the years I actually enjoyed, but most of them I couldn’t care less about.
For the most part, I didn’t like watching the interview segments. I did like to see what their actual lap time was though.
More old cars.
So true. Love watching them on DVR or Netflix, because I can fast forward right through that nonsense.
Some sort of combination of Myth Busters, Top Gear, and porn.
...
Pretty much Top Gear with Clarkson, May and Hammond, minus about 90% of the Stars in reasonable priced cars segments.
People having genuine fun in cars, not people in cars shouting “I AM HAVING FUN.”
Cars I can’t ever afford, sprinkled with ones that I actually could.
Hyundai Tiburon?
What color is that, Grabber Orange?*
