I’d just be happy if they released a new, lighter Z with a 2.0t base/3.0 V6 TT optional, preferably called the 200ZX and 300ZX. Price it inline with the Camaro as it should offer similar performance(even with a bit less power) versus the V6 and V8 models respectively, and voila, job done.
Why can’t we just have the Nissan iDX already — something light, affordable, and attractive in a a quarky way. This is heavy, expensive, and attractive in a Honey Boo Boo’s mother kinda of way.

They’re not going to be giving their engineers free reign. They’re just reducing the bean counters input. Plus I’m sure all the engineers are going to know they’re building a civic not a NSX.
Any word on where the designers fit into all this? Them and the engineers should be the most important cooks in the kitchen.
