This is one of many random things that were added to the world to make running off the beaten path worthwhile. It’s why I was scratching my head at Giant Bomb’s take that the game was very linear. It’s like they didn’t even try to go looking for cool side-paths, of which there are many.

That sounds really cool.  It reminds me of some of my favorite parts of the Fallout games, specifically finding some random area with no context, and then coming up with your own story of what might have happened.

I think they’re doing it just to personally screw with you. There could be no other reason.

I love this. Yes, a million times, these sentiments.

I remember the developer releasing a statement about how how the massive delays were caused by his severe struggles with mental health and anxiety over his own game’s quality throughout development. Knowing that honestly makes this entire situation so much more tragic.

I’m confused as to what you’re actually asking for here.

Forsaken originally was $40. And then it was an additional $35 for the Forsaken Annual Pass.

Then Forsaken + Annual Pass was supposed to be $40 all together once Shadowkeep dropped.

But then Bungie decided to go even cheaper and make Forsaken + Annual Pass $25

It’s the exact same fucking bullshit Sony and Activision pulled with Destiny, holding paid-for content hostage from Xbox (and later PC) customers until at least — and Activision was sure to point to that phrase out in the fine print the first time they wielded it — one year after releasing on PlayStation. Fuck, the

This practice is pretty stupid when it’s only a few days or weeks. It’s downright absurd to do it for an entire year. It wouldn’t make me want to buy a PS4 or, if I still had one, to buy the PS4 version. If anything, I wouldn’t buy any version period

Why does the game have to make any sort of commentary?  I don’t play games to see “statements” being made.  I always find them pompous anyway. I just want to play a fun game with a serviceable plot.

I completely agree with this. More Borderlands with new guns, skills and quests is still a lot of fun for me. I understand that isn’t going to be enough for everyone but there’s never any way to please everyone. On top of that, they did add a lot more to the end-game that I believe will make it enjoyable to play for a

It’s more like 2 than it is the pre-sequel. But imo Pre-Sequel had the beeesssst end-game boss.

I would have hugely enjoyed it if the bad guys took a few shots from our hunters at the end of the cut scenes and showed they feared us a little. Like let us see our hero catch up and start taking pot shots at them or something.

Because BL3 has a new story, and characters. I can’t find any pleasure in replaying a game if I’ve heard all the story and side quests before.

Completely. They ramped up the spectacle and the wildness with each of the core games in a way that didn’t feel overblown, and they brought managed to capture both an equal balance of nostalgia while making the new title it’s own thing. They don’t get enough props for carefully threading that needle.

So far I’m mostly-fine with it just being “more Borderlands,” but the technical issues are starting to pile up:

because I don’t want to play the exact same missions and areas for the 20th time

I’m with you. Borderlands 3 from what I’ve seen, is a literally stupid fun game, emphasis on the word “stupid.” This whole stance of “Gaming has moved on/changed/matured/evolved the article attempts to evoke is farcical. Gamers are too mature now for fat jokes, bad puns, and shooting midg-sorry, little people in the

Most definitely, I have a fallout tattoo on my left arm lol I had to deal with a lot of flake from people. I just speak my mind, I really don’t like to offend people or come off confrontational, just provide feedback and put my ideas on the table, I’ve seen fans fight over the things they were literally agreeing on. as

Time is not a friend to the Borderlands games, which have largely remained stagnant as so-called loot shooters have proliferated around it. The novelty of a game that fused the steady dopamine rush of Diablo-style loot and light role-player character building with some decent shooting has now become common. You can

I mean, you make some valid points, and I respect your coolheaded evenness about the game without fanboying or fanhating.
