I'm looking forward to piano focused songs like "Girl Who Stole the Stars" and "Reminicsent Memory" and some of the guitar focused tracks like "Arni Village ~ Homeworld". Learning music and playing the game? Sounds like a good weekend to me!

Sarcastic section of comment: Pogs?! Oh man, I hope they bring back pogs in a new effort to monetize the nostalgia from my childhood! The new Ninja Turtles movie, Terminator, and now I'm even seeing kids that are barely 10 years old dressing like kids from stupid 90's shows and movies! I'm loving how everything is…
The other day I had someone tell me that Zelda 2 is one of their top 10 games. I had to ask if he suffered some kind of brain damage or if he was just fucking with me. Apparently he was quite serious. Between a series of bad design choices, flawed controls, bad platforming and overly powerful enemies I have no idea…
Well, the first two actually did work on Final Fantasy Tactics and Mitsuda did work on Chrono Cross and Chrono trigger. Mitsuda is notable for his work on Cross for doing a combination of jazz, classical, tropical, and, one of his biggest influences, Celtic music. he's one of the few composers who has gotten me to…
While I agree that a fair amount of the Zelda soundtrack is pretty hard to be enjoyed outside of the main theme, especially without the context of the game itself, I would argue that there are a lot of interesting tracks from the top tier games with very good musicianship in it.
Jeez, I haven't heard the term "glomp" in a long time…I don't know of a Japanese equivalent to the word so I assume the translators were just having fun at that point?
Un-bear-leivable. How out of context is this…?
Oh the bishounen fanboys/girls will have a field day with that one…
Is that from P4 Gold?
I've only ever played the first Ape Escape game and it's a total classic. Every once in a while I fire up the emulator and play that disc in the PC (because emulators aren't illegal guyz) and run through that game. Its just so brilliantly designed. From the great and interesting platforming to the level design to…
Weinerschnitzel does their chili bean free (if you can call what they make chili…as a former employee, I know how they make it…) and I had a few complaints about the lack of beans. Anyone visiting from Texas was really happy to see that we had Frito pies and the lack of beans apparently made it "authentic".
Those do suck and are just meaningless filler for the most part. Its just to get you exp but some of them have interesting story tied to it. The Titan section of the game was horrendously long…it felt like I did that quest line for 3 days though I know it was only about 12 hours.
Oh yeah, the Grand Company chocobo. Once you join a Free Company with their own stables, you can color it. I dunno why, but that excited the fuck out of me for like 2 days until I got the color I wanted. Now I don't care except that I have a cool green chocobo. Oh, and you can race them at the Gold Saucer which is…
I guess that's at about level 20 or so. The game is interesting, but not exciting at that point. As I said, its a really detailed, and interesting, world that's such fun to explore and learn about (especially if you're a roleplayer like myself). It just that once the story ends the game gets bogged down in grinding…
Limsa Lominsa? Who would want to visit that horrid cesspool of drunken Roegadyn? Gridania is a far more lovely place to enjoy one's time.
Yeah, I thought we weren't supposed to slut shame.
Persona 3 and 4, Final Fantasy 6, 7, and 9 (9 has such a great Baroque flair), Chrono Trigger/Cross, TWEWY…I have a lot of game soundtracks on my mp3 player. Sometimes I just want a different feel from my music, maybe something to fit the theme of my reading or something a little different and imaginative to help me…
I miss the fact that they used to run the show out of SF. One night I came home and saw that they were interviewing people at the Gamestop NEXT TO MY FUCKING SCHOOL! I missed the chance to be interviewed by them somehow and what a regretful feeling.
Well it certainly was nice to read all this discussion about GLOG. I know Hobbes said he's just bitching at one point, but I prefer to think of it as "positive complaining".
If anyone here watches Zero Punctuation, Yahztee has been pining over this face for weeks. Almost every video for the last month (if not more) he complains once or twice about the immensely heavy lull this summer with releases. It seems the sting is being felt all around.
