Metric to SAE errors usually happen in conversion. Like that mars lander that crashed, it wasn’t that they didn’t convert, it was because they had converted back and forth so many times that there was rounding error.

Yes, but there is going to be a vertical component of momentum as the wheel rolls over the head. The dampers will also arrest the force of the springs pushing down.  The full weight of the car would take a second to be fully applied to the thing it is rolling over.

It’s still a state mandated test. Yeah, MSF has a contract, but they still have to test on the parameters deemed by the state. Commercial truck driving schools operates the same way. You take the class, then take a test based on state mandated parameters monitored by a person licensed by the state to do so.

It depends on where you are in your carrier and how much compensation you are looking for. If you’re still pretty wet behind the ears and you’re not making master’s level management type money, it’s as easy as finding a firm that is hiring someone with some of your skills.
