It's almost as if, for some people, the incredible restraint required to NOT show zombies in a world where zombies exist is so mindblowingly counter-intuitive that they mistake it for Art as opposed to Budget Cuts.  Anything that rises above a filmed LARPing session of LEFT 4 DEAD is David Mamet for these folks.

I stand by my previous statement.

Yes, AT FIRST, people would panic and collapse and make stupid mistakes that get them killed.  Those folks are all gone at this point.  Characters who've survived months and months of this madness who then start making stupid mistakes, just because the writers require it for this week's plot, are not really acceptable…

I think they used that actress because she's worked with Darabont several times before, so he found a place for her.  I agree that she's a bad fit, or else they've written a bad character for her.
