JJ never finishes what he starts. He half-asses nearly everything.

I loved this show.. THE FIRST TWO SEASONS. Then I suffered through the remainder praying for a change. Ugh just thinking of it enrages me. The secret half sister, Vaughn, When Anna Espinosa had the face change (YOU DO NOT DO THAT TO GINA TORRES). I’mma gonna go kick things.
I think they lost it long before then. The problem for me was when they completely dropped the “secret identity” aspects and the “normal” life stories that interwove with the agency stuff. When was the episode they killed off her roommate? Late season 2? That’s when it changed forever - just took a while to realize…
So, first, this can be filed to my ongoing problem with the word “reboot.” What’s being discussed here would either be a revival or a remake, it’s not really a reboot.
NOTE: The “Energized Spider-Man” toy ad pictured on the back of the comic book that Ganke Lee is reading was a REAL ad for a REAL toy! It was made by Remco in the late 70s and ads ran on the back of many Marvel comics during this period. There was also an energized Green Goblin toy available, of course.
Making a Venom movie without Spider-man is like making a Joker movie without Batman
Doctor Who is a show that undergoes constant soft reboots. I’m sure that people in 1970 who were fans of Patrick Troughton hated the new Pertwee Doctor who didn’t go into space but hung around Army bases in England, Im sure Pertwee Fans hated Tom Baker with his ridiculous scarf.
Name checks out.
Counterpoint: “Cathay Paciic” never lost a plane.
That’s a good way to get into the mile high club! Was Cathy any good?
Counterpoint: They’re all out of F’s to give?
Clearly they don’t give a flying F’
I know what I would do with it...
Honestly, I’m a lot more satisfied with this update than most of the previous ones, because it sounds like the dude is making progress and that his attitude has improved dramatically. More than that, he realizes that the cars that he left in his yard for decades aren’t in the same condition he thought they were in…
[looks around nervously]
Counterpoint: I’ve hung out with this guy a few times through a mutual friend, and he is actually an incredibly nice guy who endears himself to people almost instantly when they meet him. I am not a Jets fan and I don’t have a dog in this fight, but - take it from some random guy on the internet that you’ve never…
And really good marketing to get the idiots to believe they have superior everything.
It is not that surprising actually. Those other shows are pretty easy to keep turning out. AG is complex, quirky, and visually trippy to translate onto screen with a lot of complicated characters of questionable motivation. Then you have to translate that faithfully to a new medium, and not everything translates well. …
I forgot that Starz was in charge of keeping the show alive or not. I remember a time when Starz was juggling American Gods, Blunt Talk with Patrick Stewart, and Ash vs Evil Dead. All shows I loved, and now two out of 3 are gone while American Gods seems to be going through a sophomore production hell.
That is awesome! And judging by the price of Lego sets it probably only costs two to three times what a real Chrion costs!
