My mom took me and my little brother to see Alien thinking it would be like Star Wars. Apparently did not pay attention to the R rating. I was about 12 years old.

More like killing my wallet would be a more apt description.

While I agree, and I enjoyed it, “Best Trek Film since First Contact” is damning with faint praise.

Well this sucks. I also want to say, it’s so stupid that Beyond didn’t make as much money as hoped for. It was the best 2016 blockbuster and the best Trek film since First Contact.

Two glaring omissions for me here, I’m afraid Cheryl:

The dialog between Dutch and Dillon really helps drive this home. Dutch is way past having his men play the hero. Like any good officer, he zealously looks out for the lives of his men and does not take any unnecessary risks. In the end it doesn’t matter. 

The first Predator is one of my favorite movies of all time. What I love is the fact that no one is or does anything stupid, for the most part. Dutch’s team are a bunch of badasses. But they aren’t bloodthirsty, they don’t kill for fun. They are a rescue/extraction team. Whatever arrogance they have comes from the

Glover’s exhausted, resigned “Okay...who’s next?” is still one of my favorite cinematic moments.

This feels familiar...
