“Hey yo, St. Peter.  You know who I am, but you don’t know why I’m here!”

ahhh! but he had to die, all the conventions he fell into, as well as Venture luck. And then, resurrection. I love Venture Bros. so damn much.

I can’t think of another artist that I don’t really care for their art (obviously she’s beyond talented, I just don’t like country music) but I care so much about the person. She’s an amazing human being.

This will hit me hard. I started watching regularly around ‘94(?) and Ramon vs the 1-2-3 Kid is the first match I remember. I loved everything about him, from his finisher down to his colorful razor-blade tights. And the point about him helping define the anit-hero is an underrated big deal, because characters were

“Now it’s just pathos! You’re dyin’ in my lap and I’m all ‘SCOTT! SCOTT! DON’T YOU QUIT ON US! DON’T YOU DARE!’

Remember back in the 80s, when the debate on the playground was whether Prince or Michael Jackson would have the longer career?

Yeah, it’s ridiculous. I mean, if you want to base on success, Priest sold plenty of albums and sold out major arena tours throughout the 80's. If you want to base on artistic merit, Anything between Sad Wings... and Stained Class would do and if you’re going for technical and production vote, Painkiller is unmatched.

For the Metallica fans:

Dolly Parton: If Cannibal Corpse isn’t in the Rock Hall of Fame then I don’t belong there either.

Dolly needs to do a death metal album.

ONLY ONE BAND IS TRUE METAL

Dolly also attached a 30-page manifesto listing all of the bands she doesn’t consider “true metal.”

Can Weird Al be nominated in her place then?

Bruce loves Priest...he’d probably be congratulatory. Appeared on Halford’s solo album.

And, with that, Parton turned her godly eye onto rock music...

PRIEST better get in this time.

Dolly doesn’t think she’s Rock and Roll, and neither do I.

I see her point. She has earned recognition in the Humanitarian HOF,  all of country music honorary groups obviousl, but rock n roll? She’s country, not rock and there’s nothing wrong with that. I think the RRHOF is trying to attach itself to her star and universal approval.

While I agree with you that rocking has not been a necessary requirement to date, Dolly wields huge influence, and perhaps she is of a similar view that it should be.

Yeah, I’m not sure the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has earned Dolly Parton.
