Correction. American companies are not willing to pay people enough to afford American-made goods, nor are they willing to accept the smaller profit margins. We bought American for a few centuries before everyone started outsourcing to increase profits.

Considering how absolutely co-dependent on US consumption culture their economy is, not likely.

Good thing many of the infrastructure components in use in the US come from China, and the Chinese would never do something like this, right?

Hogen wouldn’t have had a case if their managing editor didn’t flippantly tell the lawyers that Peter Thiel paid for that celebrity sex tapes weren’t newsworthy if it involves children under the age of four.

At the same time, the lawsuit was thrown out of 2 or 3 court rooms before it got to that one, and instead of issuing a stay for the damages pending appeal the judge decided they needed to pay up first. the engine was a Chrysler 2.2 Turbo, same as the one in the Shelby Omni thing, the tail lights, from a Ford F150 iirc

A few parts from these guys and you could have a seriously fast albeit funny looking machine.

I remember these. They used to race them and did decent. For some reason it looks horrible in white. Windshield angle is horrible. I always thought it was weird they used a 2.2 but the claim was it's so light didn't need a big engine.
