Wow, good one! Think we have the winner.

AWESOME choice!
Nope, not good handler at all. Chassis flexed so bad that without subframe connecters, you could twist even a notchback unibody (stiffest Fox) with a trip to the drag strip and slicks installed. Not just flex... BEND. And if you include braking performance- they were literally some of the worst braking cars ON THE…
The Fox body Mustang was the WORST handling "pony car" in any iteration (vs. Gen 3+4 F bodies). The Mark IV Supra Turbo absolutely destroyed all of its fellow Japanese sports cars and the Corvette C4 on any track. The inclusion of the Supra on this list defies logic. Brakes, handling, and chassis stiffness raised the…
Thanks Obama!
Regarding the Cobalt: I remember upon its introduction GM mouthpieces (Maximum Bob?) very proud that their engineers had benchmarked and matched the performance of VW's viscous filled bushings utilized in the rear axle. Reality was that they targeted the attributes of a vehicle TWO generations older than what was on…
Good Call!
I'm sure the math is kosher, but the specs in their database (curb weight,Cd) are definitely off. Checked 3 vehicles, and all had major errors which will give inaccurate results.
if you're referring to North American models, you're off by quite a bit:
this behavior isn't something that should be swept under the rug!
Just taking stab in the dark here, but I didn't read any specifics about the "emissions concerns". Perhaps the issue pertains to concerns over catalytic converter lifespan and the required 100k EPA warranty. I can't imagine that during track use the A/F ratios would be anywhere near stoichiometric even under ideal…
Steve Millen is Rhys' uncle. Rod Millen, who was associated with Mazda for most all of his career, is his father.
GM and Hyundai are GDI. Nissan's VQ35DE produces 290hp in the Maxima,270hp in Altima, and even less in crossovers. That's the most comparable to the Pentastar. The VQ37VHR you mention has power/torque peaks of 7000+/5000+ rpm utilizing variable valve lift and is a high rpm engine sold only in premium vehicles. The…
what flights would you like to stop? Last time anyone checked, there were no direct flights from Ebola ravaged countries into the US.
What "African American" are you referring to? Or are you granting Thomas Duncan (the LIBERIAN who died in Dallas) posthumous US citizenship?
The Oval Office put a de facto gag order on C. Everett Koop for YEARS before he was able to publicly address AIDS.
pretty sure 3-stage VTEC includes VTEC-e as stage 1 (not opening or barely opening 1 intake valve/cylinder), but not cylinder deactivation.
I know Nissan and Toyota used deceleration fuel cut on almost all cars with port fuel injection starting with its implementation in the mid 80's. I would guess that Honda used it as well. You can feel it slightly when slowly decelerating in gear and your revs drop below 1500 (+/-) and fuel cut ends.
Chevy's own online configurator allows you to top $62k. $6.5k 21" chrome wheels an $4k front ZL1 brakes get you there pretty quick.
Very accurate on all counts. It's worth mentioning that the Viper uses a bespoke platform and engine, while the others you listed are able to distribute chassis/platform/exterior design development costs among thousands (hundreds of thousands in most cases) of plebeian versions of their respective models. Chrysler…
