No, I don’t think they look forward to prison, but then again, I’m not sure they look forward to anything. People who can slice off part of someone’s scalp and laugh about it aren’t usually the type to be inspired by life.

A lot of the people who commit crimes like this are so miserable and emotionally dead that prison doesn’t seem like a horrible option. They aren’t exactly walking around Chicago with a cup of good coffee appreciating the century old architecture and old growth maples.

Relax- What they did was disgusting and horrible and they’re being charged with a hate crime. No rational person is attempting to explain away what they did, and jezebel’s reported on this crime twice.

I actually believe the Republicans might not end up eliminating the ACA, not because they don’t want to, but because, as we learned yesterday (and sort of knew already) they don’t have a plan to replace it with.

Yeah, the major difference seems to be the anger and his inability to follow his own thoughts. Trump was never exactly a calm, measured guy. But the manic stream of nonsense we’ve seen over the past year is simply off the charts.

Yeah, there’s something majorly wrong with Trump’s brain and psychology. Here’s an interview from 1999 with Larry King where Trump comes- if not exactly self aware- about 1,000 decibels more rational than anything we’ve seen over the past 8 years.

It shouldn’t be hard to convince people that living a decent life or at a minimum martyring yourself on a battlefield is superior to killing innocent people in a club, but it is.  

The idea that Mateen shot up the nightclub because he was gay has pretty much been dismissed by all relevant authorities as simply lacking any evidence.
