Alas, this is what I feared. A really fun game for fans of racing games and Lego — of which I am both — marred by an in-game economy designed to pressure you into spending more money. For a game that is $90 Canadian just for the standard edition.

Loved playing Islanders. I have Dorfromantik thanks to a Humble Bundle, so I might play that soon. TerraScape is now on my wishlist.

Yeah, I was wondering that, which is why I didn’t say it with confidence in my comment. I was just too lazy to do the research to figure that out, haha.

Yeah, I know, I was doing a bit of reductive exaggeration in that description of Redfall. Actual read/watched some previews after I made that post, and it seems like the game is more along the lines of Far Cry or Borderlands. Still might not be fer me, but it seems like it has a lot more single-player content than

Not Jake Paul, Lindsay Lohan, and Soulja Boy! If you can’t trust what those celebrities are promoting, who can you trust?

At least Redfall wasn’t announced before the Bethesda acquisition. There was no expectation that the game wouldn’t be Xbox exclusive.

My advice: Keep multiplayer games that you play often on the drive, then download single-player games one at a time. Complete the game, delete it, and then download the next one. This also doubles as a way to start getting through your backlog.

This reminds me of the company I last worked at.

You make a good argument for keeping the spores. That could’ve worked. My lack of knowledge of the game’s world contributed to my thoughts on the matter. I only played the first few hours of the game on PS3, so memory of the lore is both incomplete and lost to time.

Yeah, I said that it might play a role in those exclusivity deals. I was just trying to make sense of the same thing that you pointed out - that Spider-Man isn’t exclusive in other games.

On the one hand, yeah, it’s a bit less believable that the fungus wouldn’t be spreading spores all over the place, given the real-world knowledge of how fungi work. On the other hand, if that were the case, it would be less believable that any humans survived the outbreak, much less the amount of people in the QZ. I

As a show of our appreciation for our community, starting March 31, 2023 we will make all the game’s Marketplace, Challenge Card, and Shipment cosmetic content available to all players for free.

As far as I know, Sony only owns the movie rights for Spider-Man. Everything else (toys, video games, cartoons, etc.) is owned by Marvel/Disney. So that probably means that the exclusivity deals for the Insomniac game and this one had to be negotiated separately. The fact that Sony owns the movie rights might have

Phil Spencer is generally seen as one of the better leaders of a game company, at least in terms of personability and actual knowledge when it comes to games. He’s someone that at least tries to be relatable. But being the best of a group of scumbags is a low bar to rise to.

I know where you’re coming from. For the first half of the episode, I was very much thinking “That hits a little close to home, I’m not sure if I can handle this right now - too soon.”

Seems interesting. It reminds me a lot of Helldivers, a game I enjoyed quite a bit.

I’m even more disappointed now that Deus Ex Go wasn’t ported to other platforms, like Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go were. I might have to buy this game and make it a priority to play it before January.

These are special islands that only Kapp’n will bring you to.

I haven’t bought this collection yet, but I do own the other Castlevania collections on PlayStation. Rondo of Blood had the option to map item-throwing to a single button, but Symphony of the Night didn’t. I guess they figured they had all the other buttons used up? Still seems like something they should allow you to

Oh, don’t worry, I’m sure Limited Run will have a physical edition up in about a year. Then you’ll have it in about two years, lol.
