I agree with this take. For a while it was megaplexes killing indie theaters and then it became TV killing megaplexes. But I’ve seen a resurgence in specialty theaters with parties and halfway decent themed food. 

I’m in the UK but yeah I maybe pre covid would go to the cinema like... 3-4 times a year max.
