“but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see why Trump would be favored by a subset of Warren/Sanders supporters.”

Trump is unlikely to advance any of the ideals favored by Warren/Sanders supporters. Believing he’s any better than Clinton literally requires forgetting that the last 3 decades even happened. She spent 3 decades in public service, he spent 3 decades making money on the backs of little guys.

Except you’re wrong. Clinton spoke out against Wells Fargo too (it was an easy target, after all). More importantly, Clinton and Warren both supported strong regulation of finance, while Trump campaigned on deregulating finance. That he’s filling his administration with GS alum should be no surprise. The only way

I want to forgive 3P voters who went for Stein, but I *really* can’t. She took Bernie’s “rigged” argument and ran full steam from Clinton with it. She was also helping give a platform to the continued DNC leaks...

If they say their first pick was Warren, they are lying. Because Warren remained neutral through the primary and came out in support of Clinton once the voters had decided.

Their reply really exposes that it’s not that they didn’t agree with Hillary’s policies, just her blatant belief that she deserves to be in her position. Voters like this just want to take a powerful woman down a peg. It’s boring, and infuriating all at once.

Though I generally agree with you that going Warren to Trump is ridiculous (especially since she campaigned for Hillary, mostly against Trump), I prefer to think of the political spectrum as a horseshoe. The far right and far left are closer ideologically than median Dem and GOP voters

What’s worst about it is that Elizabeth Warren was absolutely vicious and adamant in her opposition to Trump. Why wouldn’t you assume that Elizabeth Warren knows which of the two candidates is “the next best thing” to her.

They just cite Elizabeth Warren and Jill Stein to convince themselves and whoever’s listening that their Hillary Derangement Syndrome isn’t just sexism. They like the idea of a female president right up until one actually stands a chance of winning.

Politico had several articles on it where Wall St bankers specifically said that she wouldn’t regulate them.

I agree its stupid, but what is really going on here is that these people are making up bullshit reasons for voting. The reality is that there were lots of single issue voters this year. The issue? “Blow up the establishment” Now, Sanders seemed like a nice sane guy that would ‘stick it to the man’ but he didn’t

The system isn’t a house. It’s a weird eco system where when you destroy one element, the other side grows in power. If you launch an all out attack on the banks, the government regulators will gain power. If you attack the regulators, Wall Street gains power. Supporting either Warren or Trump is the ultimate “Gotta

“I don’t want to eat brussels sprouts, so I’m gonna have a razor blade, broken glass, and acid milkshake instead.”

Let’s look at this as a spectrum.

I can’t think of anything that even remotely makes sense in their logic. Trump and Warren are so at odds that they were verbally sparring on twitter. Maybe it already exists, but someone needs to ask Warren and Bernie how they feel about people that voted for Trump as their second choice after them.

I hate them both but then I was a Floridian kid in 2000 and Stein pulled a Nader all the way, right down to the arguing that the GOP person winning would be better since then a “real progressive” will beat them after one term and yeah that DID NOT happen with Bush...

Amen. Anyone who thought Warren or Sanders where their first pick, and Trump came second, doesn’t give a flying fuck about a single thing Warren or Sanders actually believe or want to achieve in goverment. They just don’t want to admit now they were utterly uninformed and lazy as fuck, and their vote had nothing at

Thanks for making me laugh after such a disheartening look into the American voter’s psyche. +1

Or they are simply “blow up the system” populists. If you are against the current system, being anti-Hillary is pretty easy. I didn’t vote for Trump or Clinton - third party for me - but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see why Trump would be favored by a subset of Warren/Sanders supporters.

Its the most amazing nonsense I have ever read. I don’t even hate the 3rd party voters that went for Stein as much as the idiots that voted for someone that was the direct opposite of what they stand for.
