No, aside from me living in a totally different time zone, Kinja wasn’t showing any replies to your comment at all, which is why I responded. They loaded way after it was too late to revise mine. Kinja gotta kinja.

It was readily apparent to me given the way this is set up that the director doesn’t agree with this and he’s inserted the line specifically to point to the Blind Man’s mentality, which the film is not condoning. There’s definitely shades of Castro and other basement rapists reports that are informing this set up.
I’m not Pakistani and my Urdu is pretty poor, but I do live in Karachi, and interact with men like this all the time. (In fact, the woman in that Twitter screenshot is a friend of mine.)
You might send a quote to fact check or follow up on, but you shouldn’t be sending the text of the article for approval to the subject.
You’re not misremembering — I was the head moderator, and eventually took over Groupthink and Powder Room. I’m still involved, just not as much as I used to be.
Yes, which is also referred to as South Asia or the Asian subcontinent. I live there.
Pakistanis are not Middle Eastern, they’re from South Asia.
Where does ‘Ayn Rand fan’ fall on this list?
But right down the road at Hampshire, the officers aren’t state police. If you’re a student and assaulted on campus, you’re going to go to the organization you assume is going to help you — your school.
Seriously, her hair is ah-mazing. I’m seething with jealousy.
Wasn’t circus tent room supposed to be ‘Arabian Nights’ sunroom or something? Oh, Hildy.

The article just mentions one Philadelphia show, but the series was filmed in and around the area. I actually have several friends who appeared on the show. Hardly any of them kept the designs - one kept her kitchen remodel (which I think she more or less had to, as it was in terrible shape beforehand) and another…
I’ve had better luck with Body Glide than LTE seems to have had — I used it extensively when playing derby and it held up to that level of activity. And long line shorts like Skimmies or bike shorts under dresses. Game changing.
They’re called ‘Skimmies’ and they come in a couple of different versions — about mid-thigh length and boy short length, and there’s some with wicking and some without. I get the longer ones because the boy-short length always seems to roll up on me.
Also, as a former derby player, I strongly endorse Body Glide for…
The compression is light and the cotton is breathable, so they’re just a better option for heat and humidity. I got mine at Macy’s when I was in the states last summer. Definitely try them!
Have you tried the long line Jockey shorts? I love spanx too, but the jockey line is nice and more affordable. (Also, its hot as fuck here, so the less I’m wearing, the better.)
The amazing clothes have been one of the highlights of moving here. Most of the designers showcased here are out of reach for mere working class mortals, but Gul Ahmed is a very big store chain here and extremely popular. If I’m lucky, I can get Sana S on sale. Pattern mixing is common - I still can’t put it together…
