Jezebel covered the story when it broke.

Dear fellow commenters,

I'm a Philly girl so this story has been getting a lot of play around here. And I have to admit I was conflicted on if I wanted Jez to cover it, because its so ripe for all those terrible anti-abortion stories. There's a certain breed of anti-choicers who have been telling horror stories like this all along; this

A Republican? Well, there goes my lady boner.

It is somehow both shocking and unshocking that in 2013, schools still pay for people like this to come in and hawk this backwards, retrogressive bullshit. I know, I know. I read the news, I know where we are. But it just seems so ridiculous on the face of it.

God, I love Barbara Stanwyck.

...What? Nirvana got the unplugged gig well after Nevermind was a massive hit. Grunge was long out of Seattle by the time it aired.

I've seriously been considering it. A friend had a breast reduction last year and she's so much happier now.

It's ok, I had the same instinct! I don't usually play the videos while I'm at work, but I have watch 30 Rock more times than I care to admit, so I knew that image of Kenneth was from that scene.

*cough* That's the scene in the video header.

Inevitably.

I agree — I would totally answer this ad if I had any interest at all in being in my 20s in NYC again. (I don't.)

Omg, Burt, our friendship is totally over.

Wait, wait, I've got a gif for this...

That's actually a great thing to report to the help desk, since they're tracking bugs. I don't get a view like that on my browser and it doesn't sound like anyone else is — if you have time, maybe you can email this and screenshot to help@gawker.com.

That's because they've been sending emails. :)

Pretty much, though add in a dash of age control — my dad, who had been highly successful in the software industry — got laid off at 56 and finally gave up on trying to break back in. He now does house inspections for mortgage companies at a fraction of what he used to make. My sister-in-laws parents also got laid off

There was a point during the recession where in my immediate family, all the men had been laid off, but most of the women still had our jobs. Not only did we get paid less , then the recession justified us not getting raises. (In my case, no raises for the past 5 years.)

Oh, honey. We all know it wasn't the caliber of her writing that got her that deal.
