Frankly, I'm still shocked that Beth didn't get Lori's comic book ending on the show last week. I had been expecting it for weeks.

Boo, that sucks to hear. I've heard nothing but good reviews for them for the most part. I was planning on springing for a new suit from them this summer.

Andrea's translation to the screen was basically a travesty.

Well, I won't say they're aren't issues, but as a whole, I think the women in the comics have more room to not be, say, incompetent, self-important jagoffs.

I understand this isn't the point of your post, but seeing you repeat it several times is driving me batters. It's not 'Laurie'. Her name was Lori.

I would disagree, just because in the comics there's more room for the women to be competent and helpful, which with the notable exception of Maggie, pretty much hasn't happened on the show.

She's a great character because they don't spend any time with her. She's basically awesome because of lack of interference.

I don't think the show was explicitly slut shaming her. I think they couldn't/wouldn't give her a redemption arc that could make up for how terribly she came across to the audience, so they lazily just killed her off. Just like Lori.

Intimacy, which is now my go-to bra store, also sells swimsuits. They had some super cute suits the last time I was in there. Also try Esther Williams swimwear if you like the vintage look.

Esther Williams Swimwear — that's pretty much their whole shtick.

PM function on the Gawker blogs doesn't work right now. If you can email me, that would be excellent.

Hey, can you drop me a line at commenters (at) jezebel (dot) com? Its nothing bad, I swear!

Oh, I totally understand. I cave on occasion too.

I'm not sure, but when I saw that picture last year I immediately tried to buy the bikini and they only had 3 left, total.

Thanks for the PSA, Barly.

Oh, it sold out super fast.

Lucy Woodhull, you minx! I see you there.

I'm sorry that you live in a world where you think getting beat up at college for calling someone an asshole is a reasonable, every day response.
