There's some fairly well known cases of people being exposed as liars and con artists on the internet — I wonder if some of them will be featured on the show.

There will inevitably been an episode about people who lie about being pregnant teenagers.

Maybe they can finally track down this noted internet liar.

10? Reality tv has been around for a long time — Real World has been on since 1992, and they weren't even the first in the genre. I agree with your other point — the kind of personality that is courted for these types of shows probably isn't the same kind of personality that is grounded and stable.

I won't argue that, but T Swift is of a different generation than me — so it may well have just been a shift over time. I'm sure some cultural critic out there would tie to participatory awards for little league or something.

Exactly.

In my experience it was the opposite for the girls I knew who got pregnant on purpose. It's not that they had so much love to give, but they wanted desperately to feel loved. They thought having a baby would mean at least one person would love them.

Well, if you want someone to split the dog walking duties with.

Oh, interesting. I've never heard that tidbit.

Ugh, I remember that miscarriage — she was taken to the hospital off the set of Moulin Rouge, if I recall. So sad for her.

He divorced *her* and tried to get under the 10 year marriage line so that she wouldn't be able to claim his assets. I believe she won in court, because he filed, like, a month before their 10th anniversary.

Me, I'm sticking with the 5 year contract theory.

The responses aren't deleted though — they just get punted into their own thread.

I know exactly what comment you're talking about and the vast majority of those responses were not in the least supportive of her proposal.
