I agree. Pointing out what size you were or what you personally prefer to wear isn't really the point — the real complaint has to do with inclusion and welcoming. The question might have been 'why aren't women cut shirts' given out, but the subtext is 'why are we assuming only men are getting these'?

I think the t-shirt thing, while it seems a weird throwaway, is actually a subtly important point. Why are these freebies always in men's sizes? Because men are the default, and the expectation is always going to be that men are the primary audience. By including women's sizing, there's an indication somewhere along

That's the Kate Bush cover. They used it in the trailer for Daybreakers as well — its one of my favorites. They do a great cover of The Smiths 'Bigmouth Strikes Again' which is worth looking up.

I came to them a little later in their career, but they're one of my favorites. I think the biggest play they got in the States was that Kate Bush cover that was used in a shitload of movie trailers the last couple of years.

That was my first thought too.

Go rent Charlie's Angels 2. His torso is in a lot of it. You're welcome.

She has this really great cookie recipe that she got from someone who got it from Niemen Marcus after they paid $250 dollars for it!

There's not that I know of, since PMs are down right now. But we're around — I saw that poster as well. It should be handled.

The moderators will still be active here, and the editors/writers will be more visible as well. So while trollpatrol is not likely to come back, hopefully anything terrible will be caught by someone with mod abilities. When messaging comes back online, you're free to PM me as well if there's an issue.

We can still moderate the discussion, though in a different way. The easiest way to deal with jags like the ones you're talking about it is to totally ignore them AND encourage other commenters to do the same. Then their hateful comments get buried and thoughtful conversations rise above them. I would stress the

I had really fantastic, non-elite health insurance in Massachusetts that covered my midwife, lactation consultant, hospital stay, etc, etc, that I purchased through UMass. I'm fairly sure that kind of comprehensive coverage is not common and I was pleasantly shocked and surprised that it was offered to students. I
