The upside is that the cable is detachable (like the cable between an iPad or iPhone and the charger) because it’s a USB-C cable, so you wouldn’t have to replace the whole thing if it’s just the cable that’s damaged. And it’s much closer in size to the iPad charger, so the weight is less of an issue.
