The only people putting carbon bodywork on a trackday bike are posers and rich bois who think the CF will make their amateur riding ability better (*see poser).

What sort of carwash atrocity happened that that poor car?! The scratches in the clearcoat on the close-up of the rear badge makes me cringe hard.

Rubicon or it’s not worth mall crawling in.

How am I supposed to humblebrag if Audi won’t prove what it’s capable of?

Some obscure British car programme “presenters” made some disparaging comments about boat owners; something regarding their marital fidelity as I recall. Anyway...why not buy a vehicle that matches your other boating stereotype activities.

The vehicle in question: A 2013-2016 Cayenne Diesel

Counterpoint: It’s the best looking X5. especially in M trim. (That’s not saying much but still)

Fleet sales don’t stop in a pandemic. Lots of companies need a regular flow of new vehicles and have contracts that don’t care about your silly Global crisis. /S

You went with the wrong BTTF car... This

All VW/Audi products will roll the windows up and down via the key fob, the sunroof can be set up to open and close the same way. Most people don’t know their car will do it, if it doesn’t it can be turned on.

This was the same problem Audi (the OG “symmetrical” AWD) faced. They solved it by ditching old school quattro for “UltraQuattro”. which is basically what everybody else does, just with the engine turned longitudinally.

Actually no.

It will “fare worse” because the competition in that class turns even faster laps than the class it was competing in.

Importation prior to the 25 year ban is possible....

I know of a few cases where cars have been let in without the use of a shady Florida dealer and DMV.

MMM tasty. I love unreliability and rust. A friend put it this way “a yugo is more refined than an 80's iX”. If you want a winter beater with AWD buy someones POS Audi and take it to the parts yard at the end of the winter. at least then you can pretend you are Mouton, Röhrl, Mikkola, or Blomqvist.

I lived 26 years in snow land and have only had one automatic vehicle in all my years of driving. First time out in the snow in the auto (Audi A6 Quattro) I spun it into a field because it downshifted mid corner on ice. 100% MT for snow. I even specifically hunted down a MT V8 Ram 1500 when I wanted to buy a pickup.

I find that attitude to be unfortunate. It’s less about holding “more than adequate power” and about building for durability and longevity instead of engineering for a specific failure date. If you don’t care about the next owner then I pity anybody who buys a car or anything from you. When I sell something I hope

My story comes in two parts. The going and the return.
