Ford worked hard to kill their cars in the US. Didn’t update them (other than very minor facelifts) when their competitors kept coming out with all new cars and didn’t fix critical flaws like the auto trans in the focus.

Used car prices are going to be crappy for quite a while because the number of new cars built after the start of the pandemic was significantly reduced.   So there is a shortage of future used cars.

Ford killed its car sales by not updating their cars and not fixing disasterous problems like the Focus automatic transmission.

Twitter now has around $1B in yearly interest payments due to the buyout. Before, Twitter just about broke even. With a recession coming on advertisers tend to reduce spending. So Twitter has to cut costs and find new revenue streams. Streams that will probably annoy their users.

You can fit four adults in a (two door) MINI - if you use a blender on the two adults in the back.

What’s funny is that normally there is about a 30 day supply.   So a 25 day supply isn’t all that less.   Plus more diesel was shipped *out* of the US in 2022 than in 2021......

The LS engines weigh about the same as the 911 engines. 

Take the Miata platform, stretch it a few inches, drop in the I6, and make it a coupe.

I’ve long considered the 1973-1977 GM intermediates the worst of the lot.  Ugly, bloated, and crippled by smog regulation choked engines.  The next generation was a vast improvement.

The NC Miata is fine. Despite the claims of NA/NB owners the NC is just slightly heavier than the NB - the 2005 NB was 2,447 lbs, and the 2006 NC was 2,474 lbs, and with more power, better brakes, more rigid, safer, etc.

Of course it matters, if the new platform is the same as the one on which those crash tests were performed.

Only with American manufacturers.

If they want a “cool sound” they should copy the vehicle sounds from the Jetsons.

Dodge should keep the Charger as a 4 door, and leave the two door to the Challenger.

At the time, a friend had a pinto and a corolla.   He said that the corolla had the same problem with the gas tank.
