Tesla has problems with quality. So does Mercedes, BMW, Audi, GM, Ford, etc.
I’ll often drive my manual Alltrack gently to get good mileage. But I watch my rear view mirror to make certain it doesn’t inconvenience traffic and I drive just over the speed limit. It’s not unusual to get 38-42 mpg as long as the trip is long enough that the engine warmup time is a fraction of the trip and there is…
It’s not how many units you sell - it’s how much profit you can make. If they cancel a somewhat popular model, the company probably figures most buyers will just buy a different model in their lineup - something that may have a bigger profit margin.

It takes me about two hours to mow my yard. My fitness tracker tells me I do around 9000 steps. No way would the current electric mowers work.
The grill on the Lexus is so ugly. No way I’d buy something that ugly.

So much “all new” that it might be wise to wait a couple of years for the bugs to be worked out....
If I wanted a car with an automatic I’d buy a fucking Camry. The C8 is the first Corvette that I’d say *Nope* to. And I don’t care if it can shift faster than a manual - I wouldn’t be driving it at a racetrack.
If you can quickly swap the batteries, you can quickly steal the batteries. Just look at catalytic converters......
While its good to see the uptick in EV sales, the auto market is so weird right now that it is difficult to come to valid conclusions.
