Modify the front grill a little bit, and it would look like a BMW.
What’s really fun for the 4th owner is when they find out how much the dealer servicing costs. And then when they find out that not going to the dealer for servicing craters the resale value of the car.
You obviously haven’t been around Gators fans.
Viper is too close to a Ferrari. Doug needs to do something way different than the last cars. So a Ford Model A or a wagon from the early/mid 1950’s would be a good choice.
The Ford Model A was a better suggestion than the Model T.
I drove a SLK 300 a couple of years ago - it was ~ a 2009 or so. It was sort of bleah, even with a manual transmission. A while later, I drove a NC3 Miata. Fit and finish on the Miata was not as good, and the Miata was noisier. But the Miata was more fun to drive and would be my pick.
Gun deaths have dropped - it’s now half of what it was in the 1990s.
Just wait until the 2017 models are out. Not only should they have fixed any “first year” problems, but they will be competing with the Fiat version.
The S2000 is a great car - but it would be $10K-$15K more than the Miata if they still made them.
Test drove a Subaru Impreza with the CVT a month ago - basically the same as the Crosstrek. I had heard that they were slow, but it was terrible. My 12 year old Sable SW and my wife’s 16 year old Camry 4cyl are *racecars* compared to it.
“then why does all the competitors use a 6? why did acura move from a turbo 4 back into a v6 for the RDX?”
I know how you feel. I’ve got 243K miles on my Sable wagon, and I’ve got to downsize, or buy a (yecch) SUV/CUV.
If you drop comprehensive, if somebody hits you, their insurance company often will try to get out from paying - they know that if they refuse, you will have to get a lawyer.
A few years ago, I stopped at a fast food restaurant. As I got out of the car, 7 corvettes pulled in. No driver looked younger than 60.
Back in the 80’s/early 90’s it seemed like all the douche drivers drove BMWs. Then Lexus and Acura became popular, and the average level of douche drivers of BMWs dropped.
There is a stanced S2000 in my neighborhood.
Less power and less weight.
