A buddy at work told me a great story yesterday. He and a friend decided to go see a movie. They get to the theater and look at the listings to decide what to see. One of them says "Isn't there a new Rambo movie out or coming out soon?" "Yeah, I think so. Do you know what it's called?" They look at the listings and

Apparently Kendrick and Wilson hate each other. So, that's fun.

How about the Jesus Twins from Howard Stern?

But tell us how that Trump presidency turned out!

They should schedule a show at a Chevron station!

Fight Club, Survivor, and Rant are all good reads. They aren't amazing pieces of literature or anything, but they are a perfectly entertaining way to spend a weekend.

I'm still hoping someone does a "Survivor" movie. And I would prefer Palahniuk doesn't write the script.

I'm glad to hear they are deviating from the source material a bit. It would be nearly impossible to make this an exact copy of the original stories.. Lots of adaptations end up failing because the creators are too faithful.

Nah. I stayed in my room and got high, like a true gentleman.

My ex roommate was a huge asshole and mainly enjoyed watching tv featuring other huge assholes. His 2 favorite shows were The O'Reilly Factor and Impractical Jokers.

You should check out Lynyrd Skynyrd. They still use 3 guitars!

How much fun would live strings be on You and Whose Army and Paranoid Android?

And it's not like they just released a handful of old songs. They clearly arranged and designed these to work together to be one piece of art. It doesn't feel thrown together in any way at all.

Might explain why it has so many older songs. They wanted to put something out, but didn't have enough to do an entire album. And ending it with True Love Waits would kinda make sense in that vein.

While everyone is in here talking about music, did AV Club not review the new Sturgill Simpson, or did I just miss it?

Finished the first run through, and immediately went back to listen to Glass Eyes again.

My god, it's full of stars!

It could be confirmation bias, but it really seems like Jonny brought quite a bit of his movie score aesthetic to this one. Moreso than usual, even.

Being able to take songs that originated over such a long period of time and create something that is so cohesive is pretty outstanding.
