I’m in Philly as well and looked, they will have televised games next year, hoping to pick up a few games on a few stations, with this win I think it’s more likely the demand will be there. 

There was a play where she turned the ball over at midfield. Then somehow turned on the afterburners to 11, and chased down and ended the threat from behind.  I still don’t understand how she caught her.

Her shot speed from that tiny frame surprises me more than her speed.

I think the fact that she’s tiny and frail looking is important. Shows every little girl and boy that it doesn’t matter what you look like. You can be tough enough and lethal enough to conquer the world. Every time she touched the ball in this tournament I got excited because of how much sting she puts in her shots…

Hour and 20 minutes drive from philly to rutgers, where sky blue plays.  Tickets are pretty inexpensive.

She is also amazingly goofy and un-self-conscious. She puts out some interesting social media. 

Completely fell in love with her game. This was a likeable team and she ended up being a clear favorite for me by the end.

Her club team is the Washington Spirit, where you can also see Mal Pugh play. Yahoo streams NWSL games for free and the league recently made a deal to show occasional games on the ESPN channels.

I hope she gets traded to Portland so that every Thorn has its Rose.

Lavelle’s goal is one of the best, most beautiful goals I’ve ever seen. Absolutely amazing.

I have been saying this all tournament. Pres is a superior player to Morgan right now, and certainly a banged up Rapinoe.

As a dumb American who only watches the World Cups, Lavelle looked like the best player on the pitch in the first half. She was everywhere doing every thing. I was really bummed to see her go down.

Lavelle let go a few screamers in the first half. One stunned an English player right in the face, or else it would have been a fantastic goal.
