I mean, for sure, his casting as Hawkman ranks as one of the best choices I’ve seen, but I could also see him as Batman (hey, the DCW’s Flash, Superman, and Green Arrow don’t really look like their comics counterparts, so there’s room). Just get Shanks in for an episode or two, maybe get Molly Quinn from Castle to

I’m fairly certain you are correct about Sadako. If I recall correctly, some of the back story in the movies (after the first one I think) actually revealed that she was quite evil even before she died.

You’ve damn near certainly put more thought into this than anyone connected with the movie. And you’ve made a lot of sense into the bargain.

From what I understand, it’s mostly just Snyder and the movie guys that feel that way about J’onzz. I’m sure Johns thinks he’s alright, though. lol

We are not talking about every possible act of violence against a male character that could be shown in a movie, while expecting female characters to never encounter any violence

That’s how I see things a lot, too. An entire generation of kids were basically raised on the DCAU, and it’s a huge misstep to completely ignore Stewart and J’onzz, who were some of the best parts of Justice League. Of course, Snyder and his bro-force think J’onzz is “stoopid.”

Women watching movies were men get drowned, tortured, burnt to deat, suffocated, stabbed, shot, blown up, castrated, run over by cars... and I assume there is some of that in this movie as well

I really, really tried to like the show. I honestly did. But the roundtable format just didn’t work — each commentator only had seconds to barely graze the surface on profound issues that really needed time to bloom in conversation. To make it worse, most of the time the guests squandered those seconds with stupid

Well at least he pretty well demonstrated he wasn’t funny and the show was worth cancelling.

Watch it or fuck off.

Well, we know you and nine others didn’t bother reading the article.

If this was Jezebel, the title would’ve been “Entitled White Male Harasses Chinese Woman Online, Gets What He Deserves.”

Why does it have to be “feminist”?

The Lego Movie was a MASSIVE success that did very well critically.

Right, because now that the new movie is out, nobody can watch the old ones or even remember them. Forever, people like us who grew up on the original Ghostbusters will be unable to recall anything about the franchise but the latest movie. This will taint all of our memories of growing up.

Obviously Matt knows that. His point is that nothing that happens today can ruin your childhood. Yes, current things can alter the memories you have as a childhood or force you to see them differently, but it’s not like you didn’t still enjoy Ghostbusters. Nothing can take that away. And if seeing a new movie with

There is a very similar episode involving dinosaurs that escaped into the stars before the asteroid crash....somehow

If the reviews are kind, then I plan to eventually watch this movie on Redbox or whatever, and I agree that getting too anal about this movie seems silly. I just wanted to explain the logic of why this got more backlash than other remakes, which is that that many people really really like Ghostbusters.

Just because you say it is doesnt mean it is. If you look anywhere is it not clearly defined as a Japanese Role Playing Game. It has slight elements of role playing but is defined as a brawler/life simulator.
