The whole slap was a stupid overreaction that has caused them more issues than it solved. The joke itself wasn’t even particularly offensive or insulting. All Will Smith did was call attention to something that 99.9% of the world didn’t see or had already forgotten about and opened him and Jada up to far greater

Kind of getting fed up with Netflix. They keep raising the price (at least here in Canada) and telling me it’s to bring new and “exciting” content. Except that almost everything actually exciting gets cancelled after one season in favor of a bunch of shitty Lifetime-eque movies.

I actually don’t think Speed 2 is that bad. It’s not great or anything and I’m not really sure that it works as a sequel but as its own thing? I thought it was fine. Sure a cruise ship isn’t exactly fast but the movie wasn’t called High Speed.

Gaia wasn’t enough. They needed the subordinate functions and there didn’t seem to be any known copies of them. So only one team was walking away with a complete terraforming system and I’m guessing the Zeniths wouldn’t have been willing to stick around and make a copy for Earth, assuming they could have.

Apparently Penguin isn’t in it that much. From what I’ve heard it’s mostly just the beginning. Sounds like they’re maybe setting him up for more stuff down the line.

It’s a shame the movie was kind of a mess and it had some, maybe not plot holes but... Plot speed bumps? Just general story and plot issues. I appreciated what it was trying to do and the overall scope of it, though. It definitely felt more ambitious than the usual Marvel stuff.

Benjamin is a dick and is absolutely a villain. Should Wayne and Garth have read over the contracts more thoroughly or reviewed them with a lawyer? Sure. But they didn’t know that and what makes Benjamin a dick is that he knew they didn’t know that. He lies and manipulates to get what he wants, screws people over and

I’d honestly rather they just reboot it again. MK 2021 was really not that good. It had potential and there were decent moments but the changes they made were pointless and stupid. Sure it was a step up from Annihilation but MK 95 was a far better film.

Why are they re-releasing on PlayStation 5 when they’ve already been available for free, or cheap, on the platform?

“Isn’t fantasizing about killing people as a way to get your kicks really the filthiest form of pornography,” LaPierre said.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I don’t real think this is as big a deal as people are making it out to be. Activision has largely been milking Call of Duty for a while now and Blizzard seems to be largely PC or mobile focused. So really the only major loss here is CoD and there’s no guarantee players will flock to X-Box

The whole point is that they DON’T want to harm a child, which is why they never act on it. But that doesn’t stop the attraction. Allyn’s working is stating that destigmatizing non-abusers allows them to seek help that would prevent them from possibly becoming abusers.

I really hope Andrew Garfield continues to deny any involvement in the movie long after it comes out. Even when he's on screen I want him to just pretend it's deep fakes or someone else.

I’m sure she’s super grateful that random people on the Internet decided to make a big deal out of her son’s health problems to defend her against her ex loving his daughter. It kind of feels like they’re saying her son is some broken, unhealthy thing and that his father is ungrateful or ashamed.

Jameela Jamil is in a relationship with James Blake, not James Blunt. Unless I’m missing a reference.

Don’t forget about the tape of Trump getting peed on in a hotel room... allegedly.

I don’t think it’s a tough one at all. “It is the name of the movie so it would be “It’s” or “It’s.” It isn’t really any different than say “Rob’s” or “Jurassic Park’s” or something like that.

I would imagine Sony worked out something with Disney for it and Disney agreed because they need Spider-Man. It will probably be largely one way but Feige apparently had some input on the first Venom so it’s possible there will be some crossover. Besides, once Venom is in an MCU movie Feige likely gains a lot more

Yeah, I didn’t want the legacy characters overpowering everything and was fine with shifting the focus to the new characters. I’ll admit that saying Han’s death was pointless was a bit much but to me it felt pointless because it just didn’t have much dramatic or emotional impact. It never felt like the story really

I disagree with the idea that Vader being Luke’s father is a net negative. Even in the original film Luke’s was established as having a connection to him through his father and Obi-Wan so it’s not like he was a farm boy from nowhere to begin with. I’d argue it’s the one of the few times the connection is done well. I
