I’m pretty sure the new body was organic. They said it was genetically engineered. Unless there was some reference to a fake heart I missed.

Seriously, all they had to do is say that Ivy Pepper ISN’T Poison Ivy and have the new actress be Pam Isley. That’s it. Hell, make her the older sister of the Ivy Pepper (who was adopted, if I recall correctly) if they really want to keep a connection. Why does Gotham insist on making everything so damn difficult?

She’s embiggened those words with her cromulent usage.

I thought Zoo was fun. It was completely insane and got crazier but the episode but it was an enjoyable ride. No clue what Salvation is, though.

I’m in Canada where it airs on regular TV so I sometimes forget you have to pay for it. I agree that it’s probably not worth paying for an entire service, regardless of how good it may be. Personally I think it’s quite good, although the first episode didn’t really sell the show, and it’s getting better with each

No offense but you should try watching the show rather than forming your opinion based off of reviews. It’s different from what you’d expect a Star Trek series to be but I can appreciate that they’re trying something different and showing us a time when things weren’t all sunshine and Prime Directive for the

He’s definitely exaggerating but I think his basic point is the same as the one you’re making. I didn’t see anything about him viewing the audience as dumb, either, just that he’s aware that audience expectations have changed. You used to be able to wrap up everything in a single episode or a two-parter but now people

That was more or less what he was saying, though. City on the Edge of Forever was a self-contained episode. It was dealt with in one episode and never really mentioned again, which he’s arguing you just can’t do now. Viewers generally expect to see the fallout of something like that and wouldn’t really accept that

I feel like a gritty Nancy Drew reboot would fit right in on The CW. Maybe Veronica Mars crossed with Riverdale. They could pair it with a gritty Hardy Boys reboot.

I would assume that wasn’t in the script but, even if it was, it didn’t involve Pennywise so I’m not really sure why it would scare anyone away from the character.

I don’t really think we’re meant to view Lorca as being heroic or in any way a “good” guy. Personally I’ve come around on the show. It’s different from most Trek but I’ve come to appreciate it. I’m enjoying that this seems to be a transitionary period for the Federation, where their hopeful idealism is threatened by

I’m all for it but maybe they could just call it The Liberators or something like that. Maybe something else entirely. Lady Liberators sounds kind of old fashioned. Do we really need to qualify them by their gender since they’re the only team calling themselves Liberators? Plus, it’s confusing; are they ladies who

Actually about the time you tapped out is when the episode makes a bit of a tonal shift. About halfway through they discover the plot and the tone shifts a bit. There are still some jokes but they fit in better. The first half was a bit rough, though.

I have a feeling they’ll just have Martin permanently fuse with Jax, allowing them to keep Firestorm without Martin. Maybe Martin is injured/dying and merging is the only way to save him but he’s basically in a coma. Or the Firestorm Matrix breaks down and they have to permanently fuse to prevent them both from dying

Okay, to be fair they did state that Cisco has been working on it for 6 months and hadn’t completely figured it out. The villain was just the factor that motivated him to seek out Caitlyn to help put the finishing touches on it. So it’s not like they just came up with something overnight because a villain demanded it.

...when there’s a tragedy like this, the first thing we should be thinking about is praying for the people who were injured and doing whatever we can to help them, to help law enforcement.

She says that she can’t safely open portals to places that she can’t see, but then opens a portal somewhere she can and the toy she sends through still ends up being cut in half.

I feel like there are the seeds of a good show here but right now they’ve kind of botched most of the execution. I think it was a mistake to make the Inhuman protagonists so overtly bigoted towards non-powered people. If they had just been rigidly adherent to the caste system and maintaining the status quo

I think she stayed and her happiness came from the fact that this is the life she chose. Prior to that she always felt trapped by her family responsibilities and was resentful of it; Rick gave her the chance to finally choose her family, relieving her of the resentment.

Wasn’t there also a scene where Bill does see that the Turtle is actually dead and that It wasn’t lying? It’s been a while since I’ve read the book. But yeah, it’s tough to say what rules they follow. Death could be temporary. Later books by King imply that It is still alive, too, at least in some capacity, so I
