I feel like a gritty Nancy Drew reboot would fit right in on The CW. Maybe Veronica Mars crossed with Riverdale. They could pair it with a gritty Hardy Boys reboot.

Actually about the time you tapped out is when the episode makes a bit of a tonal shift. About halfway through they discover the plot and the tone shifts a bit. There are still some jokes but they fit in better. The first half was a bit rough, though.
